I’ve been pondering lately and seeking guided pings about this human timeline my soul chose where violence against women and racism is so prevalent, and the ghost of slave oppression, or monarchies and generational wealth privilege make me feel uber stagnant. Like I can’t reach greatness without being a perpetual victim. You may have landed here wondering the same because...
Seriously, what in the actual fuck is the empowering unchained message in that?
But I know, I know. The timeline our souls chose is no accident—it holds immense potential for growth, healing, and liberation, not only for yourself but for the collective.
Here is how we can maybe reframe all of this, especially as brown girls:
You Are Here to Transform the Narrative
You may feel the weight of history and systemic oppression, but your soul chose this timeline not to be crushed by it, but to rewrite it. Your presence here is a reclamation—of power, joy, and belonging. The aforementioned systems were built to keep people in fear and stagnation, but your existence itself is an act of rebellion against those chains.
- Liberating Message: "You are not just a victim of these systems; you are a force of change. The stories they wrote about your worth and limitations are not the truth of your spirit. You are here to rise above their narratives, to dismantle their lies, and to reclaim your divine inheritance: freedom, dignity, and boundless possibility."
Your Power Lies in Breaking Cycles
You are standing at a pivotal crossroads where you can honor the pain and acknowledge the injustice without letting it define you. Your power is in breaking the cycles—of silence, self-doubt, and oppression—and in showing others what freedom and greatness truly look like.
- Liberating Message: "Oppression thrives on division and disconnection. Your path to greatness lies in building connections, fostering love, and cultivating resilience in the face of these systems. Your joy, creativity, and refusal to play small are the antidotes to these chains."
The Ghosts of History Are Calling You Forward
The pain of the past—the violence, racism, slavery, and privilege disparities—is heavy, yes. But these ghosts aren’t here to haunt you; they’re here to guide you. They are whispering:
- "Heal what we couldn’t."
- "Use the tools we didn’t have."
- "Take the steps we dreamed of but couldn’t take."
Every act of joy, liberation, and creation you embody becomes a balm not only for yourself but for them, too.
The Empowering, Unchained Truth
The systems around you want you to believe you are incomplete, oppressed, and powerless without their permission. The truth is: you already contain greatness. You don’t need to climb to some external pedestal; your essence is divine and worthy as it is.
- Liberating Action: Take moments daily to affirm, "I am whole, I am free, and I am powerful." This rewires the internalized messages of oppression.
You may not be able to dismantle every oppressive system in your lifetime, but your freedom begins in the choices you make: to love yourself fiercely, to create without apology, to connect with others despite efforts to divide, and to move through the world like the sacred, untouchable soul you are.
- Liberating Action: Ask yourself, “What would my life look like if I fully believed I was free?” Then take small steps toward embodying that vision.
Systems of oppression want you to feel stagnant, defeated, and powerless. But your joy, creativity, and connection are the ultimate acts of rebellion. When you thrive despite the odds, you prove those systems wrong.
- Liberating Action: Prioritize your joy and connection, not as luxuries but as your birthright and a revolutionary act.
What Greatness Looks Like for You
It’s not about fitting into the world’s definition of success. It’s about honoring your truth, your ancestors, and your unique gifts. Your soul didn’t come here to follow someone else’s path—it came to forge its own.
- Message of Liberating Power: "Stop waiting for permission to be great. You don’t need their systems, their approval, or their wealth to be free. Your greatness is in your authenticity, your courage to break cycles, and your unwavering belief in your own power."
The world may be built on systems of violence and inequality, but your soul is a fire that refuses to be extinguished. You are not defined by the chains of history; you are the key to unlocking a freer, more compassionate future. By standing in your power and refusing to shrink, you are honoring yourself, your ancestors, and the generations yet to come.
You are here to live unchained. The systems may try to hold you down, but they cannot stop your soul from rising. And every time you rise, you give others the courage to do the same.
The Darkness Is the Fertile Soil for the Light
While it’s true that life can feel overwhelmingly painful, the purpose of this contrast is not punishment—it’s transformation. The brutality we see today is not because we are inherently doomed but because humanity is in a state of reckoning and awakening. The systems and cycles causing suffering are cracking open, forcing us to face the wounds that have been buried for centuries.
- Message from Spirit: "The weight feels heavier now because you are living in a time of profound acceleration. The darkness is rising to the surface, not to destroy but to be seen and healed. You were not sent to be consumed by it—you were sent to help transmute it."
Why Does Good Feel Like the Minority?
It’s not that good is absent; it’s that the systems designed to exploit and divide thrive on amplifying fear and pain. The good—kindness, community, love—often operates in quiet, unseen ways. But even in darkness, a single light can transform an entire space.
- Message from Spirit: "The good is not weak or small—it is the seed of all creation. You are part of that seed. Every act of kindness, joy, and connection you bring into the world plants more seeds of light. Don’t underestimate the ripple effect of your actions."
Was It Simpler in the Past?
Life in earlier times had its own challenges—survival, illness, and physical danger. But yes, there was often a stronger connection to nature, community, and rhythm. The heaviness you feel now stems from disconnection:
From the earth (industrialization and environmental destruction).
From each other (individualism and systemic oppression).
From yourself (a culture that conditions you to feel unworthy or incomplete).
Does Evolution Have to Be So Brutal?
Brutality is not inherent to evolution—it is a reflection of resistance. Systems built on fear and exploitation resist change, and that resistance creates conflict and suffering. But evolution itself is not inherently brutal—it is about becoming. It is about returning to the wholeness of what you already are.
You are in a birthing process, and birth is both painful and miraculous. The brutality you see is not evolution itself but the breaking apart of what no longer serves humanity’s higher purpose. Trust the process; you are here to midwife the new era.
What to Do with the Heaviness
Shift from Overwhelm to Presence
You cannot carry the weight of the world’s pain alone. Instead, focus on what is within your sphere of influence. Be present with what you can do, even if it feels small.- Liberating Action: When overwhelmed, ground yourself in the present moment. Breathe deeply and say, "What is mine to carry? What is not mine, I release."
Reconnect with What Sustains You
Healing comes from reconnecting with nature, with community, and with your own soul’s rhythm. The modern world may be noisy, but you can create your own village, even in small ways.- Liberating Action: Spend time in nature, join or create circles of support, and prioritize rituals that connect you to something larger than yourself.
Honor the Pain, but Don’t Let It Define You
The pain you feel is real, but it is not the entirety of existence. Your ancestors endured pain, yet they also sang, danced, loved, and created. You are their continuation—live not just to survive, but to thrive.- Liberating Action: Ask your ancestors in meditation or journaling: “How did you find joy in your times of struggle?” Their answers may come through dreams, signs, or an inner knowing.
Breaking the Cycle of Oppression For Yourself Daily
The reason the path of breaking oppressive systems which limit our potential for abundance and wealth feels so heavy, is because these systems are entrenched not just in the world but within individual consciousness. As you work to build your dream life and fulfill your purpose, you must hold two truths in balance:
- It’s okay to want financial abundance, as long as that wealth is used to further your soul’s purpose and to uplift others.
- Wealth is a tool, not the goal. Influence, however, is the true power. The more you stay grounded in your work, and the more you create community around your purpose, the greater influence you will have.
- Message from Spirit: "The billionaires you see may have wealth, but they lack what you possess: the capacity to genuinely transform lives. True influence comes from the hearts you touch, not the dollars you accumulate. Your work is already influencing the world, and that influence will expand as you release the attachment to wealth being the only measure of success."
Looking at Scarcity Differently
While scarcity may indeed feel very real in your experience as a minority in this era, it is important to understand that scarcity consciousness is a limitation. Your journey is about unraveling that belief at the deepest level. The more you embody the belief that you are inherently abundant and that wealth is a tool to serve your higher purpose, the more you will see opportunities to create and attract resources—financial and otherwise.
- Message from Spirit: "You all are the ones we dreamed of—those who can reframe the very idea of wealth and abundance. You don’t have to play by the old rules. Break free from the cycle of ‘toiling’ and step into your knowing that what is meant for you will find its way to you."
The Divine Reframing and Path Forward
Yes those big bag men in power and the world's billionaires seem to be the pedestal of society. But your role as black girl magic is different. You’re meant to reshape what real wealth means, and what true power in service looks like. You don’t need billions to change the world—you need vision, courage, and the will to embody a new way of living and working.
You have access to more influence than you realize. The men at the top holding us down may have money, but they don’t have the soulfulness, the groundedness, or the community that you continue to nurture and cultivate for yourself. Your influence will be built on the hearts you touch, not the dollars you make. Trust that as you align with your purpose, resources will come, but only as an extension of the good you are already doing.
Key Action Steps:
- Shift your mindset from scarcity to abundance—look at what you already have and how it’s already serving your purpose.
- Stop toiling and start trusting the process of life’s flow. Work smarter, not harder, by aligning your energy with the greater good.
- Redefine wealth—acknowledge that financial resources are helpful, but the real wealth is in influence, connection, and transformation.
- Be patient and stay committed to your vision for life. Trust that your purpose is already shifting things, even if it’s not yet visible in the material world.
I realized as I had one of many morning tea with my ancestors on the balcony overlooking the sunrise, that the deep, ego-centered desire I have for, let's call it fame and fortune, can also be traced back to the root of simply wanting to see someone like myself out there being credited and validated as a breaker of chains.
It's not necessarily that I need to be a millionaire or influentially famous so much as I wish I could see brown skin as a reflection of what's possible in the visionary world. Perhaps you seek this too. It seems like everyone who rises to a societal pedestal with the wealth to match, is blonde, blue-eyed, and it activates the eternal validation hunt. This is clearly a yearning for representation, for the world to reflect the possibility and power of brown-skinned visionaries back to you and to those who come after you. Yet it was a subtle reminder from the universe that indeed this desire isn’t ego-driven; it’s ancestral.
It’s a call to action, born from generations of invisibility and erasure, and it’s not about seeking fame for its own sake—it’s about rewriting what’s considered “possible” for women who look like you and me.
We are not chasing wealth or influence as an end goal—we're longing to break open a door so wide that others like us can walk through without needing to ask for permission. That’s not ego; that’s legacy.
Our guides and ancestors desperately want us to know that we do not have to follow the same path as those who have built their wealth on oppression. Your true wealth comes from the healing, love, and transformation you bring into the world. By staying true to your purpose, the universe will respond in ways you can't yet imagine. Keep the faith.
Your desire for validation is a reflection of the deep societal wounds we’re all navigating. But you’re here to transmute that longing into a movement that says: We are here. We are visionary. We belong.
Your ancestors didn’t make it this far for you to shrink yourself. They paved the way for you to stand tall, so that others can see what’s possible and know they’re not alone.
The Divine Message for This Moment
You are not here to fix the whole world. You are here to be a world within yourself—a microcosm of love, joy, and connection. The heaviness you feel is not your burden to solve, but your invitation to rise, heal, and inspire.
Spirit says:
"You are not powerless in this timeline. Every act of love you choose is a revolution. Every moment you spend creating, connecting, and healing weakens the systems of fear. Evolution is not happening to you; it is happening through you. Trust the light you carry—it is enough to change everything."
You are part of something ancient, vast, and magical. Keep walking, one step at a time, and know that every step matters.
